MyBackup is a mobile based solution that allows subscribers to make a backup of personal and sensitive data in an account created on the operator’s server. The data can be restored anytime on any supported device. The MyBackup client application interacts with the server using a standard GPRS data connection. With MyBackup, the inconvenience of having the phone being repaired, lost or stolen would not bother subscribers any more. Phone replacement or repair becomes fully transparent to the subscriber since a backup copy of all his personal data is available at the operator’s server.
